TSCN Billing and Network Services

TSCN, LLC offers free network and care-coordination functions to help patients and participating practices communicate and navigate care options. TSCN may separately bill for optional paid TSCN/Jessie services when those services are selected or agreed to.

TSCN does not furnish or bill for medical care provided by independent participating practices, providers, facilities, or professionals. Each participating practice or facility independently bills for its own medical items and services and is responsible for its own billing, coverage, Good Faith Estimate, No Surprises Act, and related notice obligations.

You Have the Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate

If you do not have insurance or do not plan to use insurance to pay for an item or service, federal law generally requires the health care provider or facility that will furnish and bill for the item or service to give you a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges when you request one or schedule qualifying care in advance.

The estimate should include expected charges for the scheduled item or service. Other providers or facilities involved in your care may issue separate estimates. An estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive the service.

If you schedule care at least 3 business days in advance, the estimate is generally due within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule at least 10 business days in advance, or request an estimate before scheduling, it is generally due within 3 business days.

If a provider bills at least $400 more than that provider's Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to use the federal patient-provider dispute process. Save a copy of the estimate and bill.

Surprise Billing and No Surprises Act

The federal No Surprises Act includes protections against certain surprise medical bills, including some out-of-network emergency services and certain non-emergency services at in-network facilities. The independent provider or facility furnishing or billing for medical services is responsible for providing any required notices, consents, disclosures, estimates, or dispute-process information that apply to those services.

Requesting an Estimate or Billing Help

For a medical Good Faith Estimate, billing question, or No Surprises Act notice about care furnished by a participating practice or facility, contact that practice or facility directly. A TSCN coordinator may help identify the appropriate provider contact but does not issue a provider's medical estimate unless expressly authorized by that provider or facility.
