Victorian Lion & Shield Locket cat's eye The stones display great vibranceDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 An elegant Victorian seal locket dating from the 1870s. The main body is shield shaped, and features a carnelian agate to the front, and a bloodstone to the back, with a crouching lion holding a ball under its paw on top. It opens to reveal two glass locket compartments within. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent, with fine hand chased detailing and an applied ropework border.
