Conero is a mountain by the coast in Marche that shields the grapes from the cooler northeastern winds. The result is a very unique terroir for Montepulciano and stands as the Nothernmost limit where these grapes can be grown. About half the juice is aged in large oak casks, and the other half in small barriques for 12 months, before being
